“Manage daily stress and anxiety at workplace and beyond by fast acting Biofeedback and other Mind-body techniques and skills”

Facts about stress at workplace

According to The American Insitute of Stress numerous studies show that job stress is far and away the major source of stress for American adults and that it has escalated progressively over the past few decades. Increased levels of job stress as assessed by the perception of having little control but lots of demands have been demonstrated to be associated with increased rates of heart attack, hypertension, and other disorders.

Here are just some facts:

  • 80% of workers feel stress on the job, nearly half say they need help in learning how to manage stress and 42% say their coworkers need such help
  • 62% end the day with work-related neck pain
  • 34% reported difficulty in sleeping
  • 12% complained of hurting hands
  • 44% reported stressed-out eyes
  • 76% of US workers report that workplace stress affects their personal relationships.

Some science about effect of coping with stress

The day-to-day causes of stress are called daily hassles. Daily hassles are correlated with ill health. Biofeedback is one of the toolsused for acquiring stress-coping skills. We observed significant improvements in the psychological test scores and salivary cortisol levels in the intervention group compared to the control group. The gray matter GM of the brain regions are associated with the stress response, and, in general, these regions seem to be the most sensitive to the detrimental effects of stress.

Our findings suggest that our Biofeedback training is effective against the GM structures vulnerable to stress.

We found positive relationships between daily job performance, evening relaxation, next-morning positive affect, and next-day deep acting. We further found support for the indirect effect of daily job performance on next-day deep acting through evening relaxation and next-morning positive effect.

“How does daily performance affect next-day emotional labor?                                                                                                                      The mediating roles of evening relaxation and next-morning positive effect”                                                                                                                                                                https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32866025/

Results indicated that only the Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique break reduced awakening, lunchtime, and bedtime cortisol response. Although further intervention research is required, our results suggest that post-lunch PMR may sustainably reduce participants’ cortisol states in real worksite settings.

Testimonials

Here are some examples how effective techniques and skills are.

Stress, palpitation, blood pressure                                                                                                                                                            Every time I had to face difficulty in my life i.e. confront aggressive people, talk to authority, demonstrate assertiveness or even be late or out of time, I experienced palpitations, my blood pressure got elevated, which negatively affected my health condition. Later on, it caused my blood sugar elevation and weight gain, so at my 50s I had to take a few medications to control all of that. I have to say it took me a while to realize, that the main culprit for my entire problem was my low ability to cope with stress.

Since I like to see practical measurable results, it was important, that I not only learned new relaxation techniques, which Felix knows a lot about, but also was able objectively see a measurement of my physiological response on a computer screen. I continue working on my stress coping skills, but my blood pressure now is normal, I do not have palpitation anymore. To my surprise I even have lost 7 lb of weight.

You can go to yoga classes, do meditation etc, but if you want to see what exactly and how well you are doing health wise, you better start with Biofeedback training. I highly recommend Felix, who works in this field for many years and has profound knowledge on Biofeedback and relaxation techniques.                                                                                                                                                                           SV

This is an excerpt from letter of one of clients Karen to Felix:                                                                                                                                      “I am writing to thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching me how to breathe through Biofeedback. I believe and my husband concurs that your breathing technique probably helped me to save my own life while I was in an emergency room”.

Stress and duress                                                                                                                                                                                                 The Biofeedback services have helped me train myself to breathe properly under stresses and duress.
For a period i was suffering horribly from lower back pain and SI pain along with my severe joint degeneration. I have dropped my everyday stress levels and learned breath control to ease my mind and stay in focus of these situations.                                                            Al
