About this course
This course is designed to provide benefits for clients with issues related to anxiety and stress, who are under the treatment of psychotherapy and/or the training of a Biofeedback specialist.
Clients are often treated primarily with either psychotherapy or psychiatric interventions. While these modalities are an important part of addressing core issues, the skills that can be developed around physiology using Biofeedback are often not taken into consideration. This often results in a lack of potentially deeper long-term improvements.
Likewise, during Biofeedback training psychological issues can’t be addressed, preventing clients from reaching their potential in training.
This collaborative course offers a comprehensive treatment approach connecting mind and body for a more unified experience with enhanced overall symptom control.

Science
“In a long-term follow-up study, 524 (93%) of 563 consecutive medical and psychiatric patients, who received an average of 8 sessions of biofeedback and relaxation training, provided follow-up evaluations of treatment outcome. Seventy-five percent reported maximum, significant, or moderate improvement. There was a significant positive association between the percent of patients improved and the number of treatment sessions up to 10 sessions, but not thereafter. Symptom frequency decreased by 54% and symptom severity by 30%. About 54% of the medicated patients reported a decrease in medication.”

“The analysis of the research shows that the effectiveness of BFB therapy is high in conditions such as: anxiety disorders, increased stress levels, ADHD, depressive disorders, and insomnia. The versatile effectiveness of BFB should therefore lead clinicians to encourage this form of therapy during therapeutic treatment of their patients.”
